We have 16 children in Rabbit Class and we love learning new things!

Somerset Museum visited us to do workshops about Florence Nightingale as part of our topic- we loved dressing up!
We dressed up as our favourite book characters for World Book Day! Some of us shared our books with the class.
In RE we have been making posters about The Easter Story.
We have been enjoying listening and learning about our class book – The Fox and the Star. Some of us took turns to read the book aloud to the class.
We had Somerset Museum in on Tuesday and we took part in The Great Fire of London workshops!
On Tuesday afternoon we created our own Tudor houses out of cardboard boxes – we had a great time!

In Science we investigated our own questions and inquiries about pushing and pulling forces.
In Science we have been looking at pushing and pulling forces. We created a mode of transport out of Lego and tested out pushing and pulling forces to make things move and stop.
In Maths we have been looking at odd and even numbers – we used Numicon to help us.
Also in maths we have been learning about division by sharing and grouping.
In Art we have been sketching St Pauls Cathedral as it was damaged during The Great Fire of London – this links with our topic.
In Science we have been learning about pushing and pulling forces.
In Maths we have been learning our 2, 5 and 10 times tables.
In RE we are learning about Judaism.
For art we created Banksy style pictures with Mrs Parks, everyone worked together to make them – we really enjoyed this!
In DT and Science we have been using different materials to make a mode of transport. This links to our topic of transport. We designed our own modes of transport before making them using lots of different everyday materials as well as adding some wheels.
Over the past few weeks we have been working really hard practicing our songs, actions and acting for the Nativity. Here are some pictures of us dressed in our costumes/outfits ready to perform to our family and friends.
In Science we are learning and exploring everyday materials.
In English we are learning about instruction texts and we made our own floating ball activity toy following instructions as our wow starter to the new unit. This also links to our topic where we are understanding how toys have changed throughout time.
On Monday 4th November we started International week where we were looking at toys from around the world. In English we wrote riddles about toys and wrote instructions on how to play our own board games. In Topic and Science we made our own board games out of different materials – we had great fun making and playing our games with our class friends!
We finished off the week with the school carnival where we wore amazing costumes and paraded around the playground celebrating our toy outfits!
In RE we have been thinking about ‘Why does Christmas matter to Christians?’ We came up with our own ideas before watching a film clip about the Christmas story. We also recorded all the current information we know about the Christmas story.
We have started our new topic – changes in transport over time and have looked at lots of books from resources for learning and well as deciding whether different modes of transport are present or past.
In Maths we have started looking at money – this week we have been ordering coins from the smallest to the largest value.
In English we have started a new story called The Magic Brush. We have been discussing how we could improve the story to make it even more exciting for the reader. The whole class took part in coming up with these ideas.
In Maths we have been exploring using money and how much each coin is worth – we bought objects from our class shop to practise using money and finding out how much change we would receive.
